A fast-growing insurance-focused organisation is seeking an experienced Systems & Data Architect to help shape and deliver its systems and data landscape. This is a hands-on role combining strategic architecture with direct delivery. You will review current systems and data architecture, identify risks and improvement opportunities, and design scalable, compliant solutions to support ambitious growth plans. Working closely with senior stakeholders and internal technology teams, you will have the opportunity to make an immediate impact while defining longer-term architectural direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Review existing systems, infrastructure, and data architecture
- Define and deliver a scalable target architecture aligned with regulatory and compliance requirements
- Implement immediate improvements while planning and delivering strategic solutions
- Design data pipelines for ingestion, consumption, and data quality
- Review and enhance data security, standards, and governance
- Review and improve system and data integrations, including APIs
- Act as a technical leader and mentor within the wider team
- Create architecture documentation, templates, and standards
Skills & Experience
- Proven hands-on experience in an insurance or regulated financial services environment
- Strong systems and data architecture design and implementation experience
- Ability to balance short-term delivery with long-term architectural vision
- Comfortable working hands-on in a fast-paced environment
