Our client, an established manufacturer, is seeking a Quality Control & Compliance Manager to own their Quality Management System and lead on BRCGS, HACCP and food safety compliance.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll manage a Quality Control Technician and work closely with wider departments to maintain quality standards site-wide.
This role will include travel between sites, so ability to travel is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and develop the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Manage quality control from goods-in through to product release
- Lead the HACCP team and manage internal/external audits, including BRCGS certification
- Host customer and certification audits
- Run the supplier approval process and performance reviews
- Investigate complaints and non-conformances, including root cause analysis
- Oversee environmental monitoring
- Manage and develop the QC Technician
Essential
- Senior quality experience in food manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP and food safety legislation
- Experience managing a QMS and leading audits
- Experience investigating complaints/non-conformances
- Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
- Competent in Microsoft Office
