My client is restructuring their successful Norwich operation and seeking a Depot Supervisor where your impact on a small team will make a genuine, measurable difference to branch performance and growth. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a thriving depot backed by a large, stable parent company, with a clear progression route to Branch Manager and genuine long-term career security.

As a Depot Supervisor, you'll have the opportunity to support the day-to-day running of a high-performing Norwich depot with approximately £1.5 million annual turnover, handling customer enquiries by telephone, email, and at the trade counter whilst building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and lapsed customers. You'll follow up quotations, progress opportunities to completion, manage stock and order books, and work closely with the external sales representative to identify new business opportunities and grow revenue.

Supporting the depot team to maintain clear communication and strong standards, you'll resolve day-to-day customer and operational issues, ensure deliveries are progressed on time, and contribute to the continued commercial growth of the branch—giving you genuine autonomy, real impact on branch performance, and a clear progression path towards a Depot Manager position where salary reaches £46,000-£47,000.

This Depot Supervisor role would suit someone hungry, ambitious, and looking for a genuine long-term career opportunity with previous supervisory or branch-level experience from commercial, technical, or operational backgrounds. You'll bring commercial awareness, target-driven focus, and confident customer-facing abilities, with strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Experience in hydraulics, engineering, agricultural machinery, construction, or technical distribution would be valuable, though your attitude, supervisory ability, and potential to develop matter more—the company's own training centre will provide comprehensive technical development for the right person.

What you'll enjoy as part of the package:

  • Salary of £35,000 - £38,000 plus strong bonus structure
  • Clear progression to Depot Manager (£46,000-£47,000)
  • 23 days holiday plus bank holidays, rising to 25 after 12 months

My client is a successful, growing specialist engineering business forming part of a larger group of around 34 businesses, providing strong financial backing and long-term stability. The Norwich branch is performing particularly well with year-on-year growth, operating with a strong degree of independence whilst benefiting from the support, systems, and resources of the wider group. Their internal restructuring demonstrates investment in the branch's future, and they're seeking a Depot Supervisor ambitious enough to seize this opportunity and progress towards branch management.
