Select are currently recruiting Lathe Machine Operators for one of our clients based in Mildenhall, Suffolk. This role involves operating and maintaining lathe machinery, inspecting finished products, and ensuring consistently high-quality production standards.
Shift Pattern
- Week 1: Sunday – Wednesday
- Week 2: Sunday – Tuesday
Shift Times: 06:00 – 18:00
Training Period
- Duration: Up to 6 weeks
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 16:00
Pay Rate
- £12.95 per hour during training
- £14.76 per hour after training, once transferred to shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Shape, cut, and finish materials to precise specifications using lathe machines
- Set up and operate lathe machines efficiently and safely
- Carry out routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting
- Inspect finished components to ensure they meet quality and specification standards
- Use precision measuring tools accurately
- Follow all health and safety procedures at all times
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy
