Maintenance Plumber

If so, my client has the perfect role for you! A prestigious University Estates Division is on the hunt for a talented Plumber to join their bustling Mechanical Maintenance team.

As a Plumber with my client, you will be at the heart of maintaining and enhancing the University’s operational estate. You will carry out essential repairs and alterations both inside and outside the estate, ensuring that all facilities are fully functional for University staff. Your day-to-day tasks will involve repairing and upgrading toilets, basins, showers, and performing pipe work repairs to hot and cold water systems, as well as small scale heating services. You will work independently or as part of a small team, occasionally leading trainees and collaborating with specialist contractors to keep the building services in top-notch condition.

The ideal candidate will hold an NVQ L2 in Plumbing and Heating or an equivalent qualification. Familiarity with sanitary ware and its fittings, alongside a good understanding of commercial building services, will be beneficial. Experience in fault diagnostics and subsequent repairs is crucial. You must have a solid grasp of Health and Safety regulations, a flexible approach to work, and excellent communication skills.
