About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Housekeeping Supervisor to join our clients team on a temporary basis. Supporting one of Cambridge’s prestigious colleges, you will play a key role in ensuring their historic accommodation, dining spaces, and facilities are maintained to an exceptionally high standard. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced housekeeper or supervisor looking to jump straight into a dynamic operational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Supervision: Guide, support, and inspect the work of the housekeeping team to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
  • Daily Operations: Assist with room allocations, daily rotas, and ensuring turnarounds are completed efficiently.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections of student rooms, guest accommodation, and common areas.
  • Inventory & Supplies: Help monitor linen, cleaning chemicals, and equipment stock levels.
  • Health & Safety: Ensure all team members adhere to COSHH standards and safe working practices.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a housekeeping supervisory or team leader role (hospitality or higher education experience is a plus).
  • Flexibility to work 37.5 hours per week, including occasional weekends during peak periods.
  • Strong eye for detail and high standard of delivery.
  • Great communication skills and an approachable leadership style.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to daily college demands.
  • Right to work in the UK.
