My client is one of very few leading door set manufacturers in the UK, experiencing continuous growth and seeking a Technical Sales Executive to join a developing team at an excellent time in their expansion. This is a genuinely exciting opportunity to come into a thriving pre-hung door set division at a pivotal moment, where you'll shape the team's future and build a career with a specialist manufacturer in a dynamic, forward-thinking industry.

As a Technical Sales Executive, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of the full sales journey, from initial enquiry and specification through to manufacture and delivery, driving national sales of pre-hung door sets through a network of builders' merchants and door retailers. You'll complete accurate door take-offs from architectural drawings and specifications, prepare detailed quotations, and manage a varied sales pipeline of orders ranging from £2,000 to £1 million.

Working directly with architects, specifiers, contractors, and end users, you'll build strong, long-term relationships, champion the company's sell-through model, collaborate closely with internal teams on project delivery, and develop and deliver technical product presentations—giving you genuine autonomy, exposure to diverse project types, and the satisfaction of seeing your sales directly drive manufacturing and business growth.

This Technical Sales Executive role would suit someone commercially minded and technically confident who brings a proven track record of working towards and exceeding sales targets. You'll have previous internal sales experience, confidence completing accurate take-offs from door schedules and architectural drawings, strong communication and relationship-building abilities, and proven negotiation and closing skills.

Your ability to manage a sales pipeline from enquiry to completion, maintain excellent attention to detail under pressure, and work collaboratively within a close-knit team, combined with experience in door sets, building products, or the construction industry, will help you thrive in this developing team.

What you'll enjoy as part of the package:

  • £40,000 - £42,000 basic salary plus 10% quarterly bonus (OTE £58,800)
  • Flexible working hours between 7:30am-5:00pm with earlier finish on Fridays
  • Opportunity to join a developing team with exceptional future potential
  • Full-time office-based in Ely with potential for hybrid working as the team develops

My client is one of the UK's leading, specialist door set manufacturers operating in an exciting and dynamic industry. Their position as one of very few manufacturers in this sector, combined with their continuous growth and expansion of the pre-hung door set division, demonstrates their strength and ambition.
