We are currently recruiting for an experienced Stores Operative to join a busy and growing warehouse operation in Ely. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong stock control and warehouse experience who is looking for a long-term position with the potential to become permanent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Tracking, managing, and maintaining accurate stock records
  • Carrying out quality control checks and inspecting goods for damage or shortages
  • Loading and unloading deliveries, both manually and using a forklift where required
  • Investigating stock discrepancies and reporting faults or issues promptly
  • Supporting stock audits and inventory checks
  • Ensuring warehouse stock accuracy and maintaining high operational standards

Requirements

  • Counterbalance Forklift experience preferred but not essential; providing experience (valid or recently expired licence accepted)
  • Alternatively, extensive warehouse and stock control experience
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to process information accurately
  • Reliable, organised, and able to work effectively within a team environment
