Are you an organised, confident administrator who enjoys keeping busy programmes running like clockwork? We're recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded Higher Education provider in Cambridge for a Postgraduate Programme Administrator to join their team on a temporary basis, with a strong opportunity to move into a permanent position.

This role sits at the heart of a postgraduate programme, keeping communications, systems and budgets on track so that students and staff have a smooth experience from start to finish. You'll be joining ahead of a new course launch in October, working closely with the outgoing postholder during a structured handover to make sure nothing is missed.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Coordinating the day-to-day running of the programme, keeping things on time, on budget and to a high standard
  • Managing programme communications, including newsletters and updates to stakeholders
  • Organising events from start to finish, including budgets, staffing and travel arrangements
  • Taking ownership of programme finances, from monitoring spend to processing invoices and purchase orders
  • Keeping databases, records and the website accurate and up to date
  • Pulling together reports and data to support strategic decisions
  • Acting as secretary to the programme's steering group, including agendas, minutes and follow-ups
  • Supporting publicity and marketing activity for the programme

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Proven experience in an administrative or project management role
  • Confident, everyday use of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to juggle several priorities at once
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A good understanding of programme or course coordination
  • Educated to degree level, or an equivalent qualification or level of practical experience
  • Experience within Higher Education is an advantage but not essential

THE DETAILS

  • Temporary contract for 3 months, with potential for permanent role to follow
  • 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm, with an earlier finish on Fridays
  • Office based, with a hybrid pattern once settled in
  • Start date end of August, allowing for a handover with the current postholder
