We are recruiting an experienced Food Services Manager to support the delivery of high‑quality food and beverage services within a busy hospitality and events environment. Reporting to the Head of Front of House, you will assist in managing daily operations across student dining and a wide range of events, including conferences, formal dinners, private functions and weddings. You will play a key role in leading and motivating a team of supervisors, food and beverage assistants and casual staff, ensuring excellent service standards and customer satisfaction at all times. This is a hands‑on management role, requiring a strong presence during service, effective staff planning and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support senior management and deputise when required
  • Assist with the management, training and development of food and beverage teams
  • Support recruitment, performance management and staff scheduling
  • Ensure smooth, efficient and cost‑effective service delivery
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and health & safety compliance
  • Oversee preparation and clearing of rooms for meetings and events
  • Resolve customer queries and complaints professionally
  • Maintain accurate operational and compliance documentation (HACCP, risk assessments, training records, COSHH)
  • Support administrative and financial processes including timesheets and till cover

  • Proven management experience in a busy hospitality, restaurant or banqueting environment
  • Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
  • A flexible and hands‑on approach to work
