Select Recruitment is hiring an experienced Cable Moulding Technician for a specialist manufacturing client in Great Yarmouth.

About the role

This hands-on role involves the preparation, assembly, soldering, and moulding of electrical and fibre-optic cable assemblies within a precision manufacturing setting for subsea applications.

Responsibilities

  • Strip and terminate electrical and optical cable ends to specification
  • Solder conductors and connector pins using lead-free solder
  • Set up and operate injection and low-pressure moulding machines
  • Mix and apply potting compounds and epoxy resins
  • Carry out quality checks to ISO 9001 standards
  • Keep a safe, clean, and organised workspace

Requirements

  • Experience in cable moulding, assembly, soldering, or similar manufacturing
  • Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams
  • Hands-on soldering experience with electrical and/or fibre-optic cables
  • Knowledge of subsea cable systems is an advantage
  • Strong attention to detail and a collaborative approach
