We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Assistant to join our client's team in Snetterton.
This is a varied role within a busy warehouse environment, covering goods in, stock control, despatch and general warehouse duties, while also providing support to the technical and purchasing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving goods and supplies and checking product descriptions, quantities and quality.
- Storing goods safely and accurately, ensuring stock is correctly identified and located.
- Creating pick tickets and despatch notes.
- Preparing stock for despatch by external logistics suppliers.
- Carrying out regular stock counts and maintaining accurate stock records.
- Assisting the technical team with basic engineering duties.
- Supporting the buying team with basic purchasing tasks.
- Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping within the warehouse and working area.
- Following company procedures and warehouse processes.
- Working in line with quality standards and company policies.
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Completing any other reasonable duties as required by the Warehouse or Supply Chain Management team.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience in a warehouse, stores or stock control environment.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational skills.
- A reliable and hardworking attitude.
- Good communication skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A good understanding of warehouse health and safety.
- Basic computer skills.
- Previous experience with stock control, purchasing or a technical/engineering environment would be advantageous.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday: 09:00-17:00
No weekend or shift work required.
