What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading the Delivery Team: Oversee daily delivery operations and ensure smooth functioning. Plan deliveries and ensure accurate, safe loading. Conduct plant/vehicle checks and manage outbound deliveries.
  • Driving Commercial Success: Implement the store’s sales plan and make sound commercial decisions. Maximise delivery service profitability and promote monthly offers. Handle customer inquiries and upsell Selco services.
  • Empowering and Developing the Team: Set direction and assign tasks, monitoring results. Conduct training, briefings, and inductions for direct reports and drivers. Foster a high-support, high-challenge environment and empower colleagues.
  • Operational Leadership & On-Duty Responsibility: Act as the senior leader, managing store operations and resolving issues. Ensure clear communication and handovers between shifts. Serve as a key holder, responsible for opening/closing and security.
  • Service & Store Culture: Inspire and lead by example, setting the standard for customer service. Promote teamwork and recognise colleagues who embody core values. Ensure safe, ethical, and compliant store operations.
