The Job
- Your main location could be in our Croydon, Mitcham, Sutton, Wimbledon, Chessington, Isleworth or Hanworth branch but there may be requirement for regular travel within a reasonable distance of your home address to cover any of the stores within our South London/South Coast Region (this could be any of those listed above plus Redhill, Southampton, Purley, Weybridge, Camberley, Poole, Portsmouth, Kingston and Guildford).
- Collaborate daily with store management and the Profit Protection Partner to ensure security measures are effectively implemented.
- Foster connections with local law enforcement and participate in local crime reduction initiatives.
- Provide a visible and effective deterrent against theft and other security risks on the shop floor.
- Conduct initial investigations into thefts and suspicious activities, reporting findings verbally and in writing.
- Report all security incidents using the appropriate tools, escalating as necessary to the Profit Protection Department or Police.
- Carry out colleague searches in compliance with company guidelines.
- Utilise security equipment such as CCTV to monitor, detect, and deter criminal activity.
- Train new and existing colleagues on security procedures and best practices.
- Assist in stock accuracy efforts and PI counts.
- Ensure adherence to company profit protection standards through collaboration with store management.
- Support out-of-hours surveillance, auditing, and inter-store support as requested by the Profit Protection Partner.
- Flexible availability to work five out of seven days, including weekends and early or out-of-hours shifts.
