They are looking for a talented Technical Support Engineer who thrives in a fast‑paced, technically sophisticated environment and enjoys working directly with front‑office users.
As a Technical Support Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting Portfolio Managers and Analysts, ensuring they are fully enabled across a broad range of platform and cloud services. This business‑facing role provides exposure to investment workflows, trading systems, analytics teams and core infrastructure groups. You will become an expert in the firm’s technology stack, help users adopt modern engineering practices, and drive improvements across automation, workflow tooling and incident response. Collaboration sits at the heart of this role, and you will work closely with engineering, data and platform teams to deliver scalable, reliable, high‑quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the primary technical point of contact for Portfolio Managers and Analysts, providing high‑touch support, training and guidance across the firm’s platform services and infrastructure.
- Guide developers and researchers on how to use AWS, Airflow, Coder, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Terraform and other internal tools to build, test, deploy and operate their workloads.
- Partner with analytics and engineering teams to automate data workflows, enhance knowledge bases and promote best practices in data‑driven development.
- Connect stakeholders across the firm to identify solutions, champion platform enhancements and share knowledge globally.
- Deliver proactive incident management and high‑quality service support, ensuring rapid issue resolution and continuous improvement of operational processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and proficiency in Python.
- Demonstrated ability in troubleshooting, analytical problem‑solving and clear stakeholder communication.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, automation concepts and databases, with an eagerness to broaden technical skills.
- Bonus experience: working in a hedge fund or investment bank, exposure to messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ, experience with CTRM or ETRM platforms, and scripting skills in Python, Bash or PowerShell.
