Selby Jennings have partnered with a leading UK personal lines insurer, currently seeking to appoint a Senior Market Pricing Analyst to join its high-performing pricing function. This role offers the opportunity to shape pricing strategy, enhance market competitiveness, and deliver commercial impact. You\\\’ll work closely with actuarial, underwriting, and data science teams to embed predictive modelling and support strategic pricing decisions.
Responsibilities
- Build and validate predictive models using GLMs, GBMs, GAMs and other advanced techniques
- Lead price optimisation projects and support deployment into live environments
- Maintain behavioural models and monitor market performance across key segments
- Coach and develop junior analysts, fostering technical growth and commercial awareness
- Present pricing recommendations and insights to senior stakeholders
- Explore new data sources and modelling approaches to improve pricing accuracy
- Manage projects across the full pricing control cycle
- Support senior colleagues and deputise when required
Role Requirements
- 3+ years\\\’ experience in insurance pricing or analytic roles within personal lines
- Strong programming skills in SAS, Python, R or similar
- Experience with price optimisation and machine learning techniques
- Ability to communicate complex analytic insights to non-technical audiences
- Degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, or related field
- Professional qualifications (Actuarial, CFA, Data Science) are advantageous
- Commercially minded, proactive, and confident in stakeholder engagement
