This role offers the opportunity to shape pricing strategy and tool development across a diverse portfolio of specialty lines. You\'ll work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver robust pricing solutions and ensure regulatory compliance, while contributing to the continuous improvement of actuarial processes and methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Pricing Tool Development: Build and re-platform pricing tools for both local and global models, ensuring alignment with actuarial standards and documentation requirements.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with Pricing Development and UK Pricing Delivery teams to ensure smooth project handovers and effective implementation.
- Communication: Present technical concepts to non-technical audiences, clearly articulating assumptions, risks, and limitations.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement operational enhancements and risk controls.
- Knowledge Sharing: Support team development by mentoring and sharing technical expertise.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 4 years in general insurance pricing, ideally within the London Market.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in actuarial software (e.g. SQL, GLM tools, Python, PowerBI) and advanced Excel/VBA.
- Qualifications: Nearly or fully qualified IFoA actuary (or equivalent).
- Attributes: Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. A collaborative mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
