About the Role

A highly regarded alternative investment manager is seeking an

Operations Associate to join its London-based team.

This is a broad, hands‑on role offering exposure across trade support, reconciliations, portfolio oversight, and interaction with investment professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily trade life cycle, ensuring timely trade matching and settlement across counterparts.
  • Investigate and resolve trade, cash, and position discrepancies.
  • Perform daily P&L, cash, and portfolio reconciliations.
  • Strong communication skills to be a point of contact for brokers, custodians, etc.
  • Support portfolio managers and traders with operational queries and issue resolution.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives, automation projects, and operational controls.
  • Provide flexibility across the wider operations team as required.
  • Candidate Profile
  • 1-5 years experience within Operations, Middle Office, Trade Support or a similar function.
  • Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle and asset classes, including equities, derivatives, FX, fixed income, and other listed products.
  • Exposure to reconciliations, cash management, settlements, and portfolio servicing activities.
  • Demonstrable interest in process automation and operational efficiency.
  • Must have working knowledge of SQL, Python, or similar.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with front‑office stakeholders.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary for an experienced hire: £45,000 – £65,000.
  • Strong discretionary bonus potential subject to company and individual performance.
