Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced FIG M&A Associate to join our client’s dynamic team in London. The successful candidate will play a key role in executing mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions within the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) sector. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with a strong background in UK banking transactions to advance their career in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the execution of M&A transactions, including financial analysis, valuation, and due diligence.
Prepare and review transaction documentation, including pitch books, information memoranda, and financial models.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential acquisition targets and industry trends.
Collaborate with senior team members to develop and present strategic recommendations to clients.
Maintain and build relationships with clients, industry contacts, and other stakeholders.
Support the team in business development activities and client pitches.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, CFA) is a plus.
4-6 years of experience in M&A transactions within the UK banking sector.
Strong financial modelling, analytical, and valuation skills.
