A leading European financial institution with a growing international Investment Banking platform is seeking a Vice President to join its Nordic M&A team in London. This is a strategic hire within a highly active franchise focused on cross‑border advisory, public and private M&A, and strategic corporate finance across the Nordics.
The Role
- Lead execution of buy‑side and sell‑side M&A transactions across the region.
- Drive financial modelling, valuation, due diligence and process management.
- Support origination efforts through pitch development, market analysis and relationship‑building with key Nordic corporates and financial sponsors.
- Coordinate with product specialists and international sector teams to deliver comprehensive advisory solutions.
- Mentor and guide associates and analysts, ensuring high‑quality output across all workstreams.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Nordic market trends, regulatory developments, and competitive landscapes.
Candidate Profile
- 6-9 years of experience in Investment Banking, including significant M&A execution exposure.
- Strong understanding of Nordic markets; native‑level language fluency in at least one major Nordic language (Swedish, Danish, Norwegian or Finnish) is strongly preferred.
- Proven transaction experience with the ability to manage full deal processes independently.
- Excellent financial modelling, valuation and analytical skills.
- Ability to operate in a fast‑paced, international environment with senior client interaction.
- Collaborative mindset and strong leadership qualities.
