In this role, you will spend the majority of your time on responsible investment work, acting as a key contributor to the firm's ESG agenda across due diligence, portfolio engagement, and client delivery. Approximately 30% of your time will also be dedicated to broader investment activities, primarily primary fund investments, with potential exposure to secondaries or co-investments. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support ESG workstreams during due diligence, including assessment of risks, opportunities, and GP practices.
- Produce high-quality RI content for clients, such as ESG reports, DDQ responses, thematic insights, and tailored presentations.
- Engage directly with GPs on sustainability topics, market developments, and emerging expectations.
- Track global ESG trends, regulatory changes, and industry best practice; suggest and implement enhancements to internal processes.
- Deliver periodic training and guidance to investment colleagues on key RI themes.
Investment Work (c. 30% of the role)
- Contribute to the assessment of infrastructure & real asset investment opportunities, mainly primary funds, with potential exposure to secondaries and co-investments.
- Conduct financial modelling, scenario analysis, benchmarking and market research.
- Support preparation of investment papers and materials for internal committees.
- Help develop well‑structured arguments for investment decisions and articulate those views clearly in written and verbal form.
Candidate Profile
Essential Experience
- 2-5 years in investment banking, project finance, transaction services, advisory, or a similar analytical financial environment.
- Demonstrated experience in Responsible Investment / ESG, ideally within private markets, infrastructure, or broader real assets.
- Strong financial modelling capabilities and comfort working with detailed investment analysis.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce client‑ready materials (near‑native standard).
- Experience engaging with stakeholders, clients, GPs, or internal teams, on investment or ESG topics.
- Genuine interest in sustainability and commitment to advancing ESG integration.
Desired Attributes
- Experience within a fund‑of‑funds, GP, or private markets investor is advantageous.
- Knowledge of infrastructure or real assets sectors.
- Additional European language skills (French, German, Danish) are a plus.
- ESG‑related certifications (e.g., CFA SI, SASB / IFRS FSA) are helpful but not essential.
- Self‑starter mentality, strong organisational skills, and ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
