A leading global investment banking platform is seeking a high-calibre candidate to join its Energy, Infrastructure & Transition team as part of a strategic growth plan. This follows recent departures and forms part of a broader initiative to strengthen execution capability and deepen sector coverage, particularly across clean energy and energy transition.
The successful candidate will join a flat-structured, high-performing team of professionals, working closely with senior leadership and playing a pivotal role across origination, execution, and client relationship management.

The team supports leading infrastructure investors, private equity funds, pension plans, and strategic developers across M&A, asset acquisitions/divestitures, PPP advisory, and structured financing solutions.
Role Summary:
The team is looking for a technically strong, execution-focused professional who can take immediate ownership of live mandates while also covering clients at VP/D level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead execution of M&A and corporate finance transactions across renewables and broader energy transition sectors.
- Drive deal processes end-to-end, including financial modelling, valuation, due diligence, and preparation of transaction materials.
- Support origination by contributing to pitch development, sector insights, and client engagement.
- Manage and mentor Associates and Analysts; help build capability within a growing team.
- Undertake detailed industry and company research, assessing opportunities across clean energy technologies and transition-related infrastructure.
- Liaise with internal product partners and external stakeholders across financing, structuring, and advisory workstreams.
- Maintain internal databases, comps, precedent transactions, and analytical workstreams.
- Represent the team with clients - expected at VP/D level due to flat structure.
Essential Characteristics:
- A strong self-starter, dynamic and able to thrive in a high-tempo environment.
- Someone with exceptional technical strength, particularly in renewables/energy transition.
- Execution-driven mindset with a strong deal sheet and ability to step into live processes immediately.
- Ability to work seamlessly within a flat team structure and interact confidently with senior management.
Experience & Skills:
- Mid-VP to mid-Director level.
- Extensive exposure to renewables and energy transition transactions.
- Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical capabilities.
- M&A and/or capital raising execution experience.
- Background from strong project finance or energy banking franchises is valued (e.g., large PF banks).
- Academic excellence; MBA/CFA an advantage.
- Ability to manage multiple deal streams independently.
