Our client is a boutique credit-focused hedge fund seeking to appoint a sales and investor relations professional to lead and grow its capital raising efforts.

This is a highly entrepreneurial opportunity for an experienced fundraising professional who is motivated by the prospect of building a scalable investor franchise within a growing investment business.

The successful candidate will take ownership of the entire sales lifecycle, from identifying and cultivating prospective investors through to fundraising execution, onboarding and ongoing relationship management.

Working closely with the firm's leadership and investment team, they will play a key role in shaping the firm's commercial strategy and external market presence.

This position is ideally suited to an individual with approximately 8-12 years of experience in hedge fund distribution, capital raising or investor relations, who is looking to take on a broader leadership role within a nimble and ambitious platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Capital Raising & Business Development
  • Lead the firm's fundraising and business development efforts across institutional and professional investor channels.
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to grow assets under management.

• Build and manage a pipeline of prospective investors, including

  • Family offices
  • Fund of hedge funds
  • Wealth managers
  • Private banks
  • Endowments and foundations
  • Pension funds and consultants
  • Originate and secure meetings with prospective investors.
  • Manage the full sales process from initial outreach through to allocation and onboarding.
  • Represent the firm at industry conferences, investor events and networking opportunities.
  • Investor Relations
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for existing investors.
  • Build long-term relationships and ensure a best-in‑class investor experience.
  • Coordinate investor communications, including fund updates, performance discussions and ad hoc information requests.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate investor reporting.
  • Support investor due diligence processes and ongoing account management.
  • Strategic & Commercial Development
  • Partner with senior leadership to define and refine the firm's commercial growth strategy.
  • Provide market intelligence and investor feedback to support business development initiatives.
  • Assist with the development of marketing materials, presentations and fundraising collateral.
  • Help shape the firm's market positioning and branding within the alternatives investment community.
  • Identify new distribution opportunities and potential strategic partnerships.

Experience

  • Approximately 8-12 years of experience within hedge fund sales, capital raising, investor relations or alternative asset management distribution.
  • Demonstrable track record of raising assets and developing investor relationships.
  • Strong understanding of hedge fund products and credit investment strategies.
  • Experience managing institutional and sophisticated investor relationships.
  • Proven ability to independently source and execute fundraising opportunities.
