We're supporting a major global energy trading organisation in hiring an LNG Physical Trader for its London desk. The team manages a diversified, globally connected LNG portfolio and is highly integrated across physical, financial and optimisation functions.

Responsibilities

  • Trade physical LNG with a focus on Atlantic basic flows while contributing to global optimisation.
  • Manage and shape portfolio price exposure, working closely with financial traders to determine hedging, paper positions and broader risk management strategy.
  • Use routing and operational insights to extract optionality and improve portfolio performance.
  • Collaborate with schedulers, operators, analysts and optimisation teams to align physical and financial positioning.
  • Feed into market views and support medium‑ and long‑term commercial opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Experience trading physical LNG and strong understanding of market drivers.
  • Solid grasp of inter‑basin arbitrage, freight influence and portfolio risk dynamics.
