Our client, a European Bank, is seeking a highly skilled Investment Grade Credit Trader to join its London-based Credit Trading Division. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced market maker with deep knowledge of Euro-denominated corporate credit to contribute to a high-performing, client-focused trading platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Making: Provide two-way markets in Euro-denominated investment grade corporate bonds, ensuring competitive pricing and efficient execution for institutional clients.
  • Risk Management: Actively manage trading books, applying disciplined risk frameworks, hedging strategies, and scenario analysis to maintain strong P&L performance within approved limits.
  • Client Interaction: Work closely with asset managers, hedge funds, insurance companies, and pension funds to support their trading and portfolio needs.
  • Market Insight: Monitor market developments, economic data, and sector-specific news to identify trading opportunities and support internal research and sales teams.
  • Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Research, Syndicate, and other internal stakeholders to drive coordinated client coverage and enhance the firm's market presence.
  • Regulatory Adherence: Ensure full compliance with internal controls, conduct standards, and relevant regulatory requirements.

Candidate Profile

  • 5-10 years of experience in Euro-denominated Investment Grade Corporate Credit, with a minimum of 3 years of experience as a market maker (essential).
  • Strong track record of risk-taking and P&L generation within a reputable trading environment.
  • Deep understanding of European credit markets, sector dynamics, and liquidity conditions.
  • Excellent communication skills with a client-centric mindset.
