A top-tier global investment bank is looking to hire an experienced Investment Banking Associate to join its high-performing Restructuring team in London. This group advises creditors, debtors, sponsors and lenders on some of the most complex and high-profile special situations in Europe and globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead analytical workstreams across restructuring, distressed M&A, refinancings, and liability management assignments.
- Build advanced and transaction-ready financial models, including cash-flow forecasting, recovery analysis, covenant modelling and valuation.
- Prepare investment materials, restructuring alternatives, board presentations and creditor materials.
- Undertake deep-dive industry and credit research.
- Contribute to deal execution, stakeholder negotiation and process coordination.
- Mentor and oversee junior team members where required.
Required Experience
- Approximately 4 years of experience in restructuring, distressed debt, private credit, leveraged finance, or a special situations-focused role.
- Excellent technical and financial modelling skills.
- Ability to navigate complex credit situations, capital structures and multi-party negotiations.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
