Our client is a world leading hedge fund seeking a Fullstack engineer proficient in Python and React, to join the Data Products and Services team which uses cutting-edge tech & cloud solutions to design, build & maintain ML frameworks, data science features & tools, microservices, web apps and other data driven products. We actively work with the latest tech to improve our tech stack, knowledge, & processes. We work closely with investment desks to deliver on business goals and priorities. Position Overview: Work with stakeholders across the fund to understand challenges faced, gather requirements, and collect documentation. Build and maintain scalable, commercial-grade backend applications using Python as well as frontend web apps using React Take ownership of the products you and your team work on to ensure continued support and improvements Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field 2+ years of professional software engineering experience Proficiency in Python and web development Experience with relational databases like Oracle, MySQL and PostgreSQL Track record of owning or working on end-to-end full-stack apps Excellent communication skills Willingness to pick up and learn new tech & frameworks Nice to have: Familiarity with Rust Experience with highly available distributed systems Experience with Javascript/React JS Frontend Experience working with large datasets
