Our client is seeking an experienced Director-level FX Spot Trader to join their London trading floor. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled professional to take ownership of a core FX Spot trading mandate within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute FX Spot trading across major currency pairs, delivering consistent profitability within defined risk parameters.
  • Provide market-making and liquidity to a broad range of institutional clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional clients, acting as a client-facing specialist for trade ideas, flows, and market colour.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, risk, and research teams to enhance client solutions and market positioning.
  • Contribute to pricing, risk management, and strategy development across the FX franchise.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of regulatory requirements and ensure all trading activity is compliant with internal and external standards.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 8+ years of FX Spot trading experience, ideally within a top-tier financial institution.
  • Strong technical understanding of FX Futures and STIR (Short-Term Interest Rate) products.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage risk, navigate volatile markets, and generate sustainable trading performance.
  • Proven track record in a client-facing role, particularly with institutional clients such as asset managers, hedge funds, banks, and corporates.
  • Excellent quantitative, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Highly motivated, team-oriented, and comfortable operating in a high-pressure environment.
