Bitumen Trader - London
We are working with our client, a growing and highly entrepreneurial commodities business, to identify a senior Bitumen Trader to join our client's team in London. This is a senior position with full responsibility for running the book across both physical and paper markets, within a dynamic and growth-focused environment.
The Opportunity
Our client is scaling its presence in the oil and bitumen markets and is seeking a commercially sharp individual who can drive trading performance, develop new flows, and help shape the future direction of the business.
Key Skills & Experience
- Bitumen knowledge - Deep understanding of bitumen markets, flows, pricing and key counterparts to identify and execute profitable trades.
- Physical trading - Proven experience structuring and executing physical oil/bitumen deals, managing logistics, quality, and delivery risk.
- Oil and heavy oil markets - Experience within oil and heavy oil markets, understanding spreads, cracks, and global market dynamics.
- Running a trading book - Comfortable owning and growing a risk book, making independent trading decisions, and managing exposure.
- Entrepreneurial mindset - Proactive, opportunity-driven, and motivated to contribute to a growth business and influence its strategy.
