We're partnering with a world-leading hedge fund to hire a Software Engineer into a high-impact team responsible for designing and scaling the platforms that support the complete trade lifecycle across multiple asset classes and international markets.

This is an opportunity to solve complex engineering challenges at scale, developing the systems that sit at the heart of trade matching, clearing, settlement and reconciliation. You'll also play a key role in evolving the firm's broader post-trade ecosystem, spanning cash and margin management, trading fees, corporate actions, data platforms and next-generation analytics.

Working alongside exceptional engineers in London and New York, you'll help drive the firm's modernisation strategy, contributing to distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, advanced analytics and AI-driven initiatives that directly influence trading operations worldwide.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Designing and developing mission-critical software that powers the end-to-end trade lifecycle
  • Building highly scalable post-trade platforms covering clearing, settlement and reconciliation
  • Engineering solutions supporting cash and margin management, trading fees and corporate actions
  • Developing technology for derivatives processing and global product lifecycle management
  • Creating data-intensive applications, analytics capabilities and business-critical tooling
  • Leveraging AI and automation to enhance operational efficiency and decision making
  • Collaborating with global engineering teams to define architecture and deliver innovative solutions
  • Driving best practices across software engineering, system design and platform scalability

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong software engineering experience in Java and/or Python
  • Proven track record designing and building distributed, scalable systems
  • Excellent understanding of software architecture, system design and modern engineering principles
  • Experience developing complex, data-intensive applications and business-critical platforms
  • Strong problem-solving ability with a passion for tackling large-scale technical challenges
  • Interest in analytics, data platforms, machine learning or AI technologies
  • Financial markets, trading technology or post-trade experience is advantageous, but not essential
