We have a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and experienced Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering (Machinist) to join our Engineering department, where you will deliver both practical and theoretical sessions across a range of engineering units.

Your role will include:

  • Deliver practical and theoretical teaching across machining, mechanical assembly, hand‑fitting and maintenance units.
  • Support learners in understanding technical information, working safely and developing efficient working practices.
  • Provide high‑quality, industry‑relevant training.

Essential Requirements

  • Hold a Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering
  • Have experience in a relevant industry and/or educational setting
  • Practical skills and theoretical knowledge of Mechanical Engineering, including use of a centre lathe and conventional vertical turret milling machine
  • Hold GCSE A*-C / 9-4 in English and Maths or equivalent
  • An IQA qualification is desirable but not essential
