The purpose of this role is to support the Ocean Product department with daily tasks.
- Maintain pricing database.
- Support with pricing inquiries for FCL and LCL from all offices.
- Procure monthly rate sheets for imports and exports.
- Check and maintain rate management tool.
- Negotiate space and allocation with carriers.
- Manage weekly space allocation internally.
- Solve queries raised and support operations.
- Distribute pricing updates & market intel to the UK network.
- Support pricing strategy set by Ocean Product Team.
- Publish own consol box schedules and service guide.
- Assist Ocean Product Manager with regular internal / external reporting.
- Build / Grow relationships with SEKO network to enhance the confidence in the UK Ocean product.
Key Skills
- Logistics and shipping industry experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of LCL and FCL pricing advantageous.
- Understanding of key trade lanes an advantage but not a prerequisite.
