The purpose of this role is to support the Ocean Product department with daily tasks.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Maintain pricing database.
  • Support with pricing inquiries for FCL and LCL from all offices.
  • Procure monthly rate sheets for imports and exports.
  • Check and maintain rate management tool.
  • Negotiate space and allocation with carriers.
  • Manage weekly space allocation internally.
  • Solve queries raised and support operations.
  • Distribute pricing updates & market intel to the UK network.
  • Support pricing strategy set by Ocean Product Team.
  • Publish own consol box schedules and service guide.
  • Assist Ocean Product Manager with regular internal / external reporting.
  • Build / Grow relationships with SEKO network to enhance the confidence in the UK Ocean product.

Key Skills:

  • Logistics and shipping industry experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of LCL and FCL pricing advantageous.
  • Understanding of key trade lanes an advantage but not a prerequisite.
  • Highly organised.
  • Problem solving.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to build partnerships across multiple offices and regions.
