Sekisui Diagnostics is looking for a skilled Facilities Administration to join our team in Kent for a temporary contract up to 12 months.
You: As a Project Manager (Facilities Administration), you will manage all day-to-day activities of the facility and act as the point of contact for the site for employees, vendors, and service personnel. You will lead specific projects that benefit Sekisui Diagnostics employees and/or operations, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. You will have responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, cross-functional teams, outside vendors, and contractual deliverables.
Responsibilities include:
- Facilities Operations
- Supervise daily facilities activities across offices, laboratories, warehouses, and manufacturing areas.
- Coordinate maintenance of building infrastructure and site services.
- Ensure facilities operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards.
- Monitor site condition and arrange corrective actions where required.
- Serve as the administrator for the ProWatch system, including issuing new access cards to employees of the Kent site and ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
- Provide direct administrative support to the Kent site lead and management team, site services, facilities, and office management support.
- Contractor & Vendor Management
- Coordinate external contractors and service providers.
- Negotiate contracts and monitor contractor performance against contracts and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Ensure contractor activities are conducted safely and in accordance with site procedures.
- Support contract renewals and vendor assessments.
- Provide input to and monitor the annual facilities operating budget, recommending adjustments based on financial analysis.
- Compliance & Safety
- Support compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company policies.
- Participate in inspections, audits, and regulatory assessments.
- Ensure permits, risk assessments, and contractor documentation are completed appropriately.
- Support Environmental Management System (EMS) and sustainability initiatives.
- Utilities & Building Services
- Assist with management of energy contracts and water services – incoming and waste.
- Manage day-to-day responsibilities of office support, including office supplies procurement and inventory, and coordinating various office activities.
- Security and access control systems.
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational improvement.
Skills / Pre-requisites:
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks in an efficient manner.
- Solid problem-solving skills and sound decision-making skills.
- Experience overseeing the day-to-day operations of a facility.
- Strong project management and effective communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, perform under pressure, multi-task with tight deadlines, and adapt to changing environments.
- Excellent organizational and communication (written and oral) skills required.
- Microsoft Office proficiency required.
