Carbon & Net Zero Senior Consultant in London

A Senior Consultant with strong experience in carbon accounting, target setting and climate risk, who can partner with clients to develop practical, commercially smart pathways to net zero emissions.

The role and its responsibilities include:

• Supporting the strategy, growth and delivery of our Carbon and Strategy Services, including but not limited to Scope 1-3 Carbon Footprints, SECR, CDP Net Zero Pathways, SBTi, Environmental Management System, Transition Plans and qualitative and quantitative climate scenario analysis.
• Proven track record leading the delivery and overall project management of core carbon services like Scope 1 - 3 Carbon Footprinting.
• Proactively identifying prospective client leads, then designing and selling projects with our Impact Development team.
• Delivering a high quality service, within budget, that enables long term impact.
• Identifying needs that the clients may not recognise and ensuring approaches and solutions are linked to objectives and future needs.
• Leading process improvement and optimisation within the Carbon and Strategy Services and the wider teams.
• Building strong and lasting relationships with colleagues, clients and our wider community.
• Representing Seismic at industry events.

To be successful in this role you would need the following attributes:

• Successful track record of contributing to the growth and development of a Consulting delivery team in a sustainability services business.
• Proven track record of securing new business from existing and new clients in a strategic way that adds genuine value and impact.
• Detail oriented but not at the expense of making pragmatic decisions.
• Very confident processing and transforming data and genuinely enjoys analysis.
• Proficient using advanced data analysis functions within MS Excel and Google Sheets.
• Strong knowledge of the GHG protocol and SBT methodology.
• Extensive experience leading Scope 1-3, Net Zero, and Climate Risk projects.
• Strong self-awareness and can easily adapt to different clients.
• Confident and competent consulting skills, including building client relationships, project management, report writing, presenting, and ultimately enabling client success.
• A clear and concise written and in-person communication style.
• You are proactive, have a keen eye for detail and enjoy juggling multiple projects and priorities.

In your first 100 days you will:

• Be paired with a dedicated manager and mentor to accelerate your integration and professional development.
• Go through our onboarding programme with training across all our sustainability services.
• Join our fortnightly Personal Growth sessions and Weekly Town Hall.

Location: You will be within commuting distance of our London office, attending the office (Waterloo) at least twice per week.
