Mid‐Senior level, full‐time role based at a manufacturing site in Somerset with hybrid and flexible working options. Weeks run 38 hours with a lunchtime finish on Fridays. Salary up to £55,000 (DOE) plus up to £3,000 relocation allowance if required.
Key Responsibilities
- You will lead or contribute to the design and development of electronic systems for volume manufacture.
- You will have the opportunity to work on power and embedded electronic solutions and motor drive technologies.
- Your electronic designs will be used by millions of people globally; products are exported to over 90 countries.
- You will help lead the way in eco‐friendly, sustainable design that reduces waste and promotes a greener planet.
- The R&D team are constantly updating and working with new technologies to ensure products are up to date and offer the best solutions possible to a diverse customer base.

Qualifications & Experience
- Significant knowledge (degree or other appropriate qualification essential) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or other relevant discipline.
- Demonstrable experience in a similar manufacturing business leading projects/teams, mentoring others, and shaping best practice across design and manufacturing.
- Strong conceptual, analytical and problem‐solving abilities.
- Demonstrable technical knowledge in embedded and power electronic design, schematic capture, simulation, actuators, motor control, microprocessor, analog and digital design, PCB layout and simulation (experience using Altium Designer is an advantage).
- Experience in designing for compliance and relevant standards (e.g., EMC, Safety).
- Experience in consumer products, power electronics, portable devices, power tools, etc.
- Hands‐on testing and evaluation using a range of test equipment.
- Experience in design software such as Solidworks or LTSpice is an advantage.

- Salary up to £55,000 (DOE) plus relocation allowance up to £3,000.
