If so, this is a unique opportunity to do just that! This exciting role will focus on the verification and validation needs of powertrain products for primarily the defence land systems segment, including component resourcing validation, inline 6 engine applications support, and integrated logistics documentation support.
What you will do:
- Creating test plans (DVP&R) to validate components / assemblies
- Run rig / dyno tests on components / assemblies and produce technical reports covering findings.
- Conduct data analysis on test results using hand calculations and / or relevant simulation software as needed.
- Support international customers to integrate the clients inline 6 engine solutions into their various vehicle offerings, from sending initial tech data through to application sign off.
- Support engineering team to pull together ILS (Integrated Logistics Support) orientated tech data to meet customer aftermarket support needs.
- Engage in stakeholder reviews, presenting to colleagues of all levels across engineering and other associated departments.
- Communicate technical information to customers, team members, suppliers and other business units as needed.
Who would this opportunity suit?
- An accredited engineering degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience in a similar technical role, ideally with engine, transmission, or driveline development experience.
- Experience in product testing of either components or complete assemblies.
- Troubleshooting experience on complex products or systems.
- Experience supporting customers to install, sign off product in application.
- Excellent communications skills and the ability to build effective relationships.
- Proven ability to deliver work to clearly defined plans within tight timescales.
- A willingness to travel to both customer and supplier locations as needed.
