The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

Working hours: 8am-4:45pm Mon-Thurs, 8am-12:30pm Fri

12 Month Contract initially – possibility of being extended. Travel to suppliers (based around Europe) is required around 3 times per month. Passport and UK Driving license needed.

Joining an established, supportive supplier development team, what you will be doing:

  • This is a cradle to grave role where you will be responsible for the supplier’s processes from design concept to the end of product life.
  • Provide a link between the supplier and our various clients' facilities.
  • New Product Introduction – review supplier proposals for processing new items.
  • Conducting supplier process audits, ensuring APQP, PPAP and 8D reports are being performed.
  • Ensure resolution and implementation of robust solutions for quality problems associated with purchased materials and engineering issues.
  • Deploy Lean Processes to ensure Built in Quality in the Supplier Network.

What experience, skills and qualifications you need:

  • Communication is key to this role, so to be successful you must enjoy working with stakeholders at different levels within an organisation.
  • Understanding of general machining, preferably within a foundry would be a huge advantage.
  • Reading and understanding engineering drawings and specifications is essential.
  • Proven experience in PPAP/APQP methods, Supplier Management and Evaluations.
