12 Month Contract initially – possibility of being extended. Travel to suppliers (based around Europe) is required around 3 times per month. Passport and UK Driving license needed.

Joining an established, supportive supplier development team, what you will be doing:
- This is a cradle to grave role where you will be responsible for the supplier’s processes from design concept to the end of product life.
- Provide a link between the supplier and our various clients' facilities.
- New Product Introduction – review supplier proposals for processing new items.
- Conducting supplier process audits, ensuring APQP, PPAP and 8D reports are being performed.
- Ensure resolution and implementation of robust solutions for quality problems associated with purchased materials and engineering issues.
- Deploy Lean Processes to ensure Built in Quality in the Supplier Network.
What experience, skills and qualifications you need:
- Communication is key to this role, so to be successful you must enjoy working with stakeholders at different levels within an organisation.
- Understanding of general machining, preferably within a foundry would be a huge advantage.
- Reading and understanding engineering drawings and specifications is essential.
- Proven experience in PPAP/APQP methods, Supplier Management and Evaluations.
