Peterlee (Site based)

12 Month Contract - potential to extend

36.5 Hours a week Monday - Thursday 8am-4:30pm, Friday 8am-12:30pm

Up to £39.40p/h PAYE plus holiday and pension contribution OR up to £53.45p/h Umbrella

What the Senior Design Engineer will do:

  • Responsible for designing and developing hydraulic installation systems that meet machine requirements for performance, durability, quality, cost, and manufacturability.
  • Develop designs in Creo; perform basic structures analysis in Simulate.
  • Release new designs in TeamCenter and utilize change management processes.
  • Manage complex projects to meet deliverables on time and with completed staff work.
  • Utilize and further develop best practices and standard work in our pursuit of Defect Free.
  • Collaborate with global team across multiple disciplines.
  • Engage with various manufacturing / operations teams in reviewing design issues, changes, opportunities for improvements.
  • Work with supplier on new part designs or revisions to existing designs.

What the Senior Design Engineer Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university
  • 9+ years of engineering experience (design, validation, or simulation)
  • Intermediate understanding of hydraulic systems and/or machine integration
  • Product development experience
  • Good communication skills and experience working in team environment
