37.5 hours a week: 7-3 or 8-4 Monday - Thursday, 5 hours with a 7am or 8am start on a Friday

We’re looking for a Shipping Administrator to join our client’s Global Shipping department in Desford to provide administrative support to the Shipping team, initially on a 12-month contract which is likely to extend and be rolling for the right person!
What will the Shipping Administrator do?
- Support core functions of the Shipping team
- Ensure freight invoices are only processed when the actual service has been provided
- Process freight invoices related to inbound/outbound material which fluctuates in line with production volumes
- Collate Metrics, analysis and general administration related to freight invoices and shipping performance
- Focus on Continuous improvement and completing 1PD's to support process improvements
What experience does the Shipping Administrator need?
- At least a year’s experience in a similar administration role within transportation accounting background
- Knowledge and understanding of Incoterms and Freight terms
- Proficient Knowledge of MS Office applications including Excel, Access, PowerPoint & Word
- Excel (create pivot tables, use v look ups & formulas), good data analysis skills within excel
- Effective and confident communication skills to liaise with various levels of the organisation
- Team Player this is key as you will work closely with others to achieve agreed objectives
- Good administrative skills as well as excellent organisation and time keeping skills plus an eye for detail and the ability to work very accurately and continually strive to improve processes
