Join a leading IT solutions and managed services provider as a 3rd Line Service Desk Engineer, where you’ll take ownership of complex technical challenges and act as a key escalation point for 1st and 2nd line teams. This role is ideal for a hands-on infrastructure specialist with strong networking and SQL expertise who thrives in a collaborative, fast-moving environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide 3rd line technical support across infrastructure, cloud, networking and database environments
- Take charge of escalations from 1st/2nd line engineers, ensuring timely resolution and excellent communication throughout
- Troubleshoot and maintain Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange and SQL platforms
- Manage network configurations including DNS, DHCP, switching, routing and firewalls
- Support VMware or Hyper-V virtualisation platforms, along with Dell/HP server and SAN hardware
- Occasionally deliver on-site support for escalated incidents and project implementations
What You’ll Bring
- 3+ years’ experience in a 3rd line technical support or infrastructure role
- Strong, hands-on experience with networking (DNS, DHCP, switches, routers, firewalls) and SQL Server management is essential
- Proven track record supporting enterprise IT environments (Windows Server, AD, Exchange, security, backups)
- Solid understanding of VMware vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper-V
- Experience with Dell or HP server/blade infrastructure and SAN storage
- Relevant certifications such as AZ-, MS-, VCP, or CCNA preferred
