We are recruiting for an experienced Quality Inspector to join a busy aerospace manufacturing environment, working within a skilled quality team focused on the inspection of small to medium-sized precision aerospace components. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in precision engineering or aerospace quality inspection, who can ensure full compliance to customer specifications, AS9102, AS9100 Rev D, and Rolls-Royce SABRe4 standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Conduct detailed inspection and measurement of precision aerospace components using a wide range of manual and advanced measuring equipment
- Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and GD&T requirements
- Develop and maintain quality inspection plans
- Manage non-conforming products and support corrective actions
- Conduct internal non-conformance investigations using quality tools such as 8D and 5 Why
- Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits
- Assist with the development and implementation of new measuring equipment
- Ensure ongoing compliance with AS9100 Rev D and customer-specific standards
- Liaise closely with production, engineering, and internal departments on quality-related concerns
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the inspection function
What We’re Looking For
- Practical experience inspecting precision engineered components
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T
- Knowledge of SPC and process quality tools
- Experience with quality methodologies such as 8D and 5 Why
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Team player with flexibility and proactive attitude
Desirable
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in aerospace quality inspection
- AS9100 / ISO9001 audit knowledge
- Experience with CMMs and profile tracers
- Knowledge of NADCAP special processes
- Calibration knowledge
- Engineering or quality-related qualifications
