We're supporting a global engineering and manufacturing organisation in their search for a Data Scientist to join the team in Desford.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a high-profile role, helping to transform how data is used across the business through innovative reporting, analytics and automation solutions.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports
- Extract, analyse and manipulate data using SQL and Python
- Develop automated data solutions using Power Apps and Power Automate
- Create efficient data structures in Share Point, Snowflake and internal systems
- Use DAX and Power Query to deliver meaningful business insights
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to solve business challenges
- Drive continuous improvement through data-led decision making
What We're Looking For
- Experience in Data Science, Data Analytics or Business Intelligence
- Strong SQL and Python skills
- Power BI expertise, including DAX
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical ability
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage projects from concept to delivery
- Backgrounds in manufacturing, engineering, aerospace, rail, telecommunications, IT, FMCG, or similar data-driven sectors will be highly relevant
