12-Month Contract - Strong Potential for Extension

Up to £22.55 p/h PAYE + Holiday + Pension or £30.88 p/h Umbrella Rate

As a Packaging Technician, you'll play a key role in supporting production by ensuring packaging assets are available, maintained and ready for use. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure across logistics, packaging, transportation and supplier management, with genuine opportunities for training, development and career progression!

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Packaging Engineers with day-to-day activities and projects
  • Operate counterbalance forklifts to move and manage packaging assets
  • Assist with deliveries, goods receiving, and loading/unloading activities
  • Coordinate repairs and maintenance of damaged packaging equipment
  • Conduct asset counts and maintain accurate inventory records
  • Maintain packaging documentation and supplier communications
  • Ensure packaging assets are available to support production requirements
  • Help maintain a safe, organised, and efficient packaging yard

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Counterbalance Forklift Truck experience/licence
  • Forklift operating experience within warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or material handling environments
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Desirable:

  • Fork spreader experience
  • Warehouse or logistics operations experience
  • Experience loading and unloading vehicles or shipping containers
