Aerospace Precision Components

Bristol (BS30)

Full-time | Permanent

Salary: £16.32 per hour plus 25% shift premium

Shift Pattern (Double Days):

  • Week 1: Monday to Thursday 06:00-14:00, Friday 06:00-11:00
  • Week 2: Monday to Thursday 14:00-22:00, Friday 11:00-16:00

About the Role

You will be responsible for the assembly, fitting and ancillary processes required to produce aerospace components and assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications and approved work instructions. You will ensure the delivery of high standards of quality, operational efficiency and production performance while maintaining an organised working area and high housekeeping standards to minimise the risk of Foreign Object Debris (FOD). You will work both individually and as part of a team depending on production requirements. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a strong commitment to quality and the ability to consistently produce conforming work in accordance with company procedures and policies.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Complete aerospace assembly and fitting operations in accordance with engineering drawings, work instructions, specifications and approved processes.
  • Fit, assemble and finish components using appropriate hand tools, measuring equipment, fixtures and assembly aids.
  • Accurately perform ancillary processes including, but not limited to, part marking, serration, varnishing and deburring.
  • Inspect own work and correctly use precision measurement equipment to verify conformity to specification.
  • Maintain full traceability and accurately complete production, inspection and quality documentation, both physical and digital.
  • Identify and report non-conforming parts, assembly issues or discrepancies in drawings and instructions through the appropriate company process.
  • Perform routine maintenance in accordance with company TPM procedures.
  • Assist colleagues to ensure maximum production output while maintaining required quality standards.
  • You may be required to perform any other reasonable duties or specific projects from time to time as directed by management.

Essential Skills:

  • Previous assembly or manufacturing experience preferred
  • Ability to read engineering drawings would be advantageous
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Good manual dexterity
  • Positive and proactive attitude
  • Ability to work effectively within a team
