We are seeking a Senior Carbon & Net Zero Consultant who thrives on solving complex sustainability challenges and combines technical expertise with commercial insight to deliver meaningful climate impact for our clients. The exact role definition will be shaped by the experience and strengths of the right person.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the strategy, growth and delivery of our Carbon and Strategy Services, including Scope 1‑3 carbon footprints, SECR, CDP Net Zero Pathways, SBTi, Environmental Management System, Transition Plans and qualitative and quantitative climate scenario analysis.
  • Lead the delivery and overall project management of core carbon services such as Scope 1‑3 carbon footprinting.
  • Identify prospective client leads, design and sell projects with the Impact Development team to help clients leverage our expertise and achieve their sustainability goals.
  • Deliver high‑quality services within budget, ensuring long‑term impact and alignment with clients’ objectives.
  • Introduce solutions that clients may not recognise, linking approaches to future needs.
  • Drive process improvement and optimisation within the Carbon and Strategy Services and wider teams.
  • Build strong, lasting relationships with colleagues, clients and the wider community.
  • Represent Seismic at industry events.
  • Mentor and onboard within the first 100 days: pairing with a dedicated manager, completing onboarding training, participating in personal growth sessions and weekly town halls.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven track record in carbon accounting, target setting and climate risk, with a strong understanding of the GHG protocol and SBT methodology.
  • Extensive experience leading Scope 1‑3, Net Zero and Climate Risk projects.
  • Demonstrated success in securing new business from existing and new clients in a strategic, value‑adding manner.
  • Strong consulting skills: building client relationships, project management, report writing, presenting and enabling client success.
  • Advanced data analysis skills in MS Excel and Google Sheets; familiarity with Python and Power BI is preferable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; clear and concise communication style.
  • Self‑awareness, adaptability, and a growth mindset, comfortable working in a fast‑growing, agile environment.
  • Team player who enjoys client work and collaboration with teammates to iterate products and services.
