JOB POSITION: On Site – Layout Engineer
Key Information
- From 5 to 12 years of experience
- Energy industry experience required (Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, Offshore…), Nuclear preferred
- Coordinate and drive design open points closure, problem-solving…
- Layout for HVAC, Piping, Equipment, Civil, and Cable trays

LOCATION: Somerset – on-site.
Responsibilities
- Assessing if the site request has layout impact, requests coming from the site that may impact Layout and listing the impacts of the site change on all disciplines and other contractors
- Producing technical assessments and solutions, with supporting justification
- Update deliverables produced by the design office if needed
- Proposed 3D models (with the support of a CAD designer)
- Liaising with other disciplines (HVAC, Piping, Equipment and Electrical) when needed
- Reporting to the Layout Team Lead achievements, progress, and difficulties
- Raising alerts on any aspects of the design when identified
- Contributing to the closure of design open points after the delivery of packages to site
- Anticipates and raises alerts on open technical points
- Being part of the on-site Layout team, participating in Team meetings, sharing technical topics
- Manages and monitors the modifications requested by the various engineering teams, contractors, and the client
Qualifications
Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Soft Skills
Strong communication skills / Proactivity / Collaboration / Organisation / Delivery oriented.
Software and Tools
Good knowledge of AVEVA E3D, AutoCAD and Navisworks.
