As part of the replication strategy, the aim of the activity is to start from the HPC Books of Technical Specifications and update them to become SZC specific BTS documents.

JOB POSITION:Nuclear Civil Engineer

KEY INFORMATION:

  • Civil Engineering Degree,
  • From 6 to 10 years of experience,
  • Energy industry experience required (Oil&Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, Offshore…),
  • Reinforced Concrete structure experience,
  • Right to work in the UK

LOCATION: Bristol.

MAIN ACTIVITIES:

  • Liaising with all internal and external stakeholders and define the content / extend of the BTS update based on the available information,
  • Depending on the gaps / missing information to properly update the BTS, the activity will consist of filling the gaps and to agree on the input data and maturity + the risks associated with the update according to the proposed schedule,
  • Articulate with the SZC Project the Codes and Standards strategy for those updates, considering the gap analysis,
  • Update and pre-distribute the BTS, threat the comments, distribute and achieve all the necessary actions until a code 1 is obtained,
  • Manage and lead the update process, organizing the necessary meetings and workshops with the stakeholders.

  • Members of the SZC civil program team
  • HPC Joint Design Office and HPC back-office teams
  • SZC Client organization

We are looking for

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in civil engineering
  • Civil engineering design office experience, particularly in the use of the Codes & Standards
  • Experience with replication strategy
  • Experience with writing and updating technical specifications
  • Up to 10 Years of Experience.

KNOWLEDGE & TECHNCIAL SKILLS:

  • Knowledge and understanding of the Eurocodes related to civil engineering.
  • Knowledge of the design and detailing of reinforced concrete
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant Health and Safety regulations.

SOFTWARE & TOOLS:

Good knowledge of PDMS (or any 3D design software, consultation), TEKLA and/or Navisworks software (consultation).
