As part of the replication strategy between Hinkley Point C (HPC) and Sizewell C (SZC), and according to the engineering sequence of civil activities, the Civil Engineering team is responsible for the assessment and justification of the HPC Responsible Designer deliverables for the SZC Project.

The Contract Engineer will coordinate civil activities for the New Buildings and support the management of multiple civil engineering design contracts for the Sizewell C project. They will be responsible for providing technical specifications and ensuring alignment with the contract holder.
The Contract Engineer will report to the SZC Civil Team Lead and will interface with other civil engineers, programme and cost control teams, the Responsible Designer’s Project Management Office (PMO), procurement department, and potentially legal teams.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in civil engineering.
- Experience in the nuclear sector is advantageous.
Essential:
- Knowledge of Eurocodes & standards for Civil Engineering.
- Understanding of relevant Health and Safety regulations.
- Technical coordination skills.
- Dynamic, proactive junior engineer profile with up to 5 years of experience.
- Right to work in the UK.
Technical Responsibilities:
- Providing technical support on building-specific civil topics, including producing deliverables, participating in meetings, and reviewing documents from internal or external stakeholders.
- Leading technical specifications reviews and surveillance.
- Contributing to lessons learned processes related to their responsibilities.
