An opportunity has arisen for a candidate with Tax Reporting experience to join our UK Tax Reporting Team within the UK SEI Wealth Platform. You will mainly be responsible for the oversight and quality control of tax data as well as the production of a wide range of Tax Packs (UK Tax Reports, 1099, ISA, QI, FATCA and CRS administration).
What you’ll do
- Quality control on the Tax Reporting system of incoming taxable transactions, including asset set ups, trades, dividends, interest distributions and corporate actions.
- Produce UK tax reports within required deadlines and SLAs which accurately reflect HMRC Tax Reporting regulatory requirements.
- Log US Withholding Tax Forms (W8, W9 etc.) where SEI is the Qualified Intermediary including reconciling that US Treaty Reliefs on US Income is accurately processed from multiple custodians.
- Assist with the preparation and reconciliation of the SEI Europe and SEI Guernsey 1042, FATCA and CRS Returns annually in line with regulatory deadlines.
- Keep up to date with FACTA US and CRS Tax Reporting requirements.
- ISA Accounts oversight – ensuring that clients manage their ISA accounts within the regulations and that ISA reporting is produced accurately and in line with client SLA\’s which are driven by the ISA Regulatory return deadlines.
- To act as a contact for SEI and client(s) on tax related issues and to provide superior customer service and solutions on client tax reporting related activities.
What we need from you
- Ideally degree educated (or equivalent) with IAQ (or equivalent).
- Experience of UK Tax reporting on CGT and Income Tax.
- Experience of interaction between tax and corporate actions within wealth management including CGT book cost oversight.
- Experience of US (i) 1099 reporting (ii) QI and FATCA reporting regimes and of (iii) reporting under the Common Reporting Standards (CRS) and (iv) ISA administration preferred.
- Solid experience within financial services, private banking, mutual funds and investment advisory is preferred as is industry knowledge of private banking, asset management and investment processing.
- Advanced Excel skills including VBA macro would be advantageous. FSL CGIX knowledge would be advantageous.
